Kirin Gotemba was founded in the early 1970s as a joint venture in the immediate vicinity of Mount Fuji. In 2002 Kirin Distillery took over this company.
To this day, the name Kirin Whisky stands for quality down to the last detail. For the noble drops of this distillery only high-quality barley from Scotland or Australia is used.
The water, which is needed for the Kirin Whisky production, is obtained from in-house wells. In this distillery, the focus is on the small and fine details.
